Upload pictures from your Android and Blackberry smartphones into Zoho Creator

You can now upload pictures from your Android and Blackberry smartphones into any of your forms at Zoho Creator with eSurvey. With the recent release of eSurvey 2.0.61, we focused on deeply integrating all multi-media formats available into the phone itself( specially Pictures ) and Zoho Creator. 

 

For instance, you can create an inspection form for field service or maintenance activities, that empowers users to also shoot and synchronize photos along with all other fields into Zoho Creator and then not only collaborate in real time with your staff and outside partners but also create any kind of business rules or workflow specific to that photo.

Take a photo of a damaged part for any machinery and deliver the same to the manufacturer to assess the situation in real time, as your service representative is on site. Request 3 bids from registered suppliers for a broken window in your store, a few seconds just right after the photo was taken.

 

These are some of the considerations when uploading pictures ( images ) from a smartphone with eSurvey into Zoho Creator. Images uploaded using eSurvey will be actually displayed in the Zoho view page.   You can render the uploaded image by adding a  Formula field or by executing Deluge Script. The maximum size of each file that can be uploaded into Zoho Creator is only 5 MB. The total file storage space you will get depends on the plan you have subscribed for. Zoho Creator considers total file storage for an account and not of the individual users.

 

Even with all that we’ve done to integrate eSurvey into Zoho Creator, we still have more to do. In talking with Zoho power users, we found that many still want the full Zoho interactive experience from any smartphone, including tasks like seamlessly consulting specific views or interactively searching specific information with an easy to use native interface. Therefore, stay tuned, because there is more to come.
